World renowned Bulgarian/Viennese violinist Bojidara Kouzmanova and Spanish classical and flamenco guitar Virginia Luque bring together their remarkable virtuosity in a dazzling and rarely heard combination of instruments that has been drawing raves from audiences wherever they perform.
Violinist Bojidara Kouzmanova, a native Bulgarian, has appeared as soloist with numerous orchestras and performed in recital throughout Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. She has also been the winner of many international violin competitions in both Europe and the US. Bojidara has a passion for old, precious instruments and has played on more than fifteen different Stradivarius and Guarneri violins as well as many from other makers, kindly loaned to her by private sponsors.
Guitarist Virginia Luque, plays classical and flamenco music in a Spanish romantic style, combining extraordinary technical virtuosity with beautiful tone and musicianship. Ms. Luque has appeared to much acclaim with orchestra and in recital virtually throughout the world. She has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and been awarded first prize at several international competitions including the “Manuel de Falla” Competition, in Granada, Spain. She has also received the Lincoln Center Scholarship and recently made her conducting debut in a recording with the Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra.
